It's so strange to think I've been on this site for 4 years.
That's four whole years of posting my sometimes-crap artworks or photos - in the scheme of things I'm sure it isn't so long.
However, if you think about everything that goes on the span of four years, a great deal has changed.
Now as for the way I've changed in terms of technique, the first digital drawing I posted on here was:
[link]and my most recent being:
[link]...I can't help but feel like I haven't really grown much as an artist.
Which is troubling for me, yet explains why I haven't felt satisfied with the works I produce. I keep drawing the same thing over and over - so I think it's time I actually started looking into anatomy, and new hairstyles and ways of colouring.
While this isn't the greatest time to start I'm sure, with VCE exams barely weeks away (and apparently they decide your whole damn life) the most amount of re-designing my own style and approach will have to come after November 12th - the date of my last exam.
For now all I can really do is begin collecting ideas and even books to assist with the way I approach creating artworks; and no longer short-cutting hands and poses etc.
What I'd love to start looking into properly is really clean, bold lines so that my drawings look a lot neater and "together", I guess.
If I continue being a lazy sod, I will gain nothing!
